How To Fish
Best fished 1hr before to 1hr after high tide. Well known  for catching Flounder, Plaice and Dabs on worm baits. This venue fishes its socks off in the daylight and when conditions are right there are plenty of Codling and Whiting to be caught. Also here you get plenty of Strap Conger when fishing close in with large fish baits. In the summer you get the odd Thornback Ray being caught on sandeel and fish baits.        Do not fish here after heavy rain or snow for the fresh water coming down from the hills kills the fishing. The river also has a Bore which on a spring tide can be quite large.  This venue is best fished on a 24-25ft tide.
