HOW TO FISH
What an excellent venue.
During the summer you will catch loads of Mackerel from here on feathers, they can’t resist them. You will also catch plenty of Pollack and big Bass. Double figure ones are caught here every year with crab and sandeel being the best baits.
Float fish close in and you will find Wrasse to over 5lbs on crab and rag.
Fish further out on the sand beds and you will hit plenty of good Thornback Rays to sandeel and fish baits. Gurnards are also caught from here as well as the surprise Octopus.
When the winter comes I have had Codling to 7lbs as well as the ever present Dogfish, Whiting and Conger to 12lbs on large fish baits.
This is another tackle grave yard  but it’s well worth the loss.
Beware if you fish the rocky peninsular by the lighthouse on a flood tide as the water comes in behind you.
