HOW TO FISH
This former fishing village on Anglesey's east coast is a popular mark for pleasure anglers. A walk along the headland path  reveals large areas of flat rocks which are ideal for day or night sport.
Moelfre’s biggest attraction is the huge shoals of summer Mackerel which feed inshore from June to September. Hoards of anglers gather each season, to make the most of the sport.
Mackerel feathers, spinners and Hokai lures will catch, and light tackle will give better sport.
As winter comes in the Codling and the Coalies arrive, caught on worm and squid cocktails and fish baits. Also to be caught are the resident Dogfish, Dabs, Strap Conger and the occasional Bass.
