HOLYHEAD BREAKWATER

HOW TO GET THERE
Go on the A5 straight through RAF Valley and into Holyhead. Turn left by the silver railings and follow this road over the 2 mini roundabouts and the next left over the many road bumps. After these take the next right down to the Breakwater. Hopefully you will be able to drive your car on to it.

HOW TO FISH
The Breakwater is best fished on the small to medium tides.
The inside is the easiest to fish with Whiting, Dogfish, Dabs, Pollack and Codling. Use worm and fish baits for these.
The end is best fished on slack water and you can catch Rays, Bullhuss, and Smooth Hounds to fish baits.
The outside is a fishing tackle grave yard with some of the roughest ground around the Island, but it is worth the loss for there are plenty of big Conger here to be caught on large fish baits.
Winter brings the better sized Codling and Coalies to crab and black lug.
