WYLFA HEAD

HOW TO GET THERE
It doesn’t matter if you come from the Menai Bridge or through RAF Valley on the A5025, just follow the road and you will eventually come on to Wylfa.  When you arrive turn right before the main gates and drive down until you get to the silver gates. Turn right here and park up. To get to the fishing go through the kissing gate on the left of the gate.

HOW TO FISH
Another one of my favourites.
In the summer you can fish the Headland below the lookout for plenty of good size Wrasse, Pollack, Codling and some very big Congers to 20lbs.
On the Inside you will catch Wrasse, Dogfish, Pollack and Codling to about 3lbs. You will also catch Plaice to worm baits going to 2lbs.
Fishing the Headland in the winter will produce much bigger Codling to 6lbs along with Coalies, Whiting, Pollack caught on lug, razor fish cocktails.
On the Inside you will catch the ever present Dogfish, Whiting and Dabs along with some big Codling, Ling and some Bullhuss reaching 12lbs.
Using big fish baits you will always stand a chance of one of the big Congers which are always around.
The headland is quite a long walk from the car with some precariously steep rocks. The inside is much safer to fish from and also a much shorter walk.
