Llanddwyn Island

HOW TO GET THERE
Follow the A4080 into Newborough Village and then take a left turn opposite the Premier shop. Keep going down the lane until you come to a toll gate. This will cost you £3.00 but will let you park your car right by the sand dunes with only a short walk to the fishing. The reason for this charge for entering a nature reserve.

HOW TO FISH
If it is Bass you are after Newborough beach is best fished with a good surf in the summer months where crab and rag will give you the best results. Use smaller fish and worm baits for Dogfish, Whiting and Flatties and larger baits of fish, crab and worm for Rays and Smooth Hounds.
In winter you will find the resident Dogfish and Whiting eating almost anything you throw at them, but using medium to large worm baits you can catch lots of Codling and Coalies which are plentiful.
This is a nice clean snag free beach with only a short walk from the car.
